Jim Wanless has provided advice and senior level management to developers, owners and operators of resorts, residential communities and clubs on a national and international basis.

Jim is recognized as one of the leading experts in the club and development industry. As a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) on the Recreational Council, he has contributed to the growth and development of sophisticated and coordinated membership and development plans that has led to the maximization of customer value while generating the highest possible return to his clients.

Mr. Wanless served as Vice President at KSL Recreation for five years ending in January 2002. He was responsible for club operations, activity programming and marketing and sales of membership at all KSL communities and resorts including:

At KSL, Mr. Wanless worked closely with the real estate development and sales group to integrate the club membership structure and sales programs with the real estate product to accelerate the sales price and pace of both products.

While at KSL, membership sales under his direction grew from less than $6 million in annual sales to more than $35 million per year. During this period his team generated over $137 million in total membership revenue.

Prior to joining KSL Recreation, Jim was a founding partner in a national law firm representing clubs, residential and resort developers, owners and operators. During this period, his former firm provided membership design, marketing, product development and legal advice to some of the worlds leading properties including:

Mr. Wanless' educational background includes a B.B.A. from Stetson University; a J.D. from Stetson College of Law and a L.L.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida. Jim is married with four children and lives in La Quinta, California where he is active in local community organizations.
